
The way I try to eat makes a huge effect on how I feel mentally and physically. Little backstory first. A few years ago when my anxiety was at an all time high and I was just really getting into fitness, I realized that when I ate healthy foods, I felt better overall. So I decided to take that seriously, I starting eating a lot of fruit, lean meats, like chicken, steak, etc. A lot, and I mean a lot of eggs, definitely not too good for my cholesterol levels…. But the one thing I realized as well was to not try and follow a lot of those online diets, like keto diets, etc. Those are good diets, they just aren’t sustainable. The other problem I see with them is that when you stop that diet, you will gain all the weight back. I also felt that it was not as good for my mental health, compared to when I would eat healthy tasty foods, that I personally like a lot. When I ate like that I felt much much better mentally and physically!

The Important thing when it comes to dieting though, is to find what works for you. Everyone is different, so you have to find what type of diet makes YOU feel the best, not what other people on the internet do. Eat what is good for you and sustains your energy and hunger. You might think, how does this relate to anxiety? I truly believe that what you put in your body, is what you get out of it! So when you eat better, you feel better! I notice too that when I eat super sugary and processed food, that my anxiety levels would rise. What I want everyone to take out of this, is create your own diet, not what the other people you see in the fitness and mental health industry tell you. Do and eat what makes you feel better, be your best self, life is too short to worry about anxiety, etc. Good luck out there and i’ll talk to everyone tomorrow !!
